The first town PCs arrive at, Vraille is one of the twin port towns that face each other across the Salmon Bay, the other being Ira. Vraille is the working half of the twin city, containing fishing ports, warehouses and the working class of the land. It is generally a riotous place filled with sailors and labourers on their breaks, but it is an honest place, far removed from the corruption and deceit that surrounds the merchant families that live in Ira.
Vraille is not ruled per say remaining, along with Ira, an independant city state that remains in alleigance to the King of Rostrum. The general comings and goings of the city are monitored and organised by the Executive, a body of foremen and administrators who essentially run the city on behalf of the Ira families.
There are many inns within Vraille with varying levels of luxury and tolerance (of halflings and dwarves). These range from the Rising Wave, an inn for the officers and landlords of Vraille which is highly exclusive, to the Bilge Bucket, which is something of a criminal’s and loner’s inn that accepts anyone as a customer and always has a rumour to spare.
